CNN reported on Thursday that the leaders of Finland and Sweden welcomed the leaders to the White House and said that both countries had “full, full, full support” from the United States after submitting their formal applications for NATO membership.
“Today, I am proud to welcome and offer strong support from the United States for the appeal of two great democracies and two close, highly capable partners to join the strongest, strongest defense alliance in world history,” Biden said.
