Spokesman Larry Kamar, in a statement to SFGATE on Monday morning, condemned “several” reports of Pelosi’s arrest that contained “incorrect information” about the incident. According to Kamer, a significant part of the “misinformation” is the reason for the arrest of a previous DUI in Pelosi.

Pelosi, a San Francisco resident, was driving home from a dinner party in St. Helena at 10:15 p.m. Saturday, according to California Highway Patrol records and Kamer’s statement. At about 11:44 a.m., Pelosi was arrested on DUI suspicion and booked at the Napa County Detention Center. Kamer said in a statement that Pelosi was “fully cooperating” with CHP officers. Pelosi was later released on 5,000 bail.

Kamar did not specify which SFGATE contained “incorrect information” in the report, but he appears to be referring to the NBC Bay area among others. The NBC Bay Area report alleges that Pelosi was arrested in 2018 for a similar incident, instead of another man named Paul Pelosi.
