The independence of our country and the security of our families are under threat

According to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif), Supreme Court justices seem to be on the verge of overturning a landmark 1973 decision that legalized abortion in the United States.

CNN’s State of the Union co-anchor Dana Bush asked Pelosi if the Supreme Court’s decision to limit the federal abortion right could lead to restrictions on marital equality.

Never lose sight of the goal, are we? The independence of our country is in danger because the ball is in this court. Let’s not waste our time thinking about the equality of marriage and its other aspects, ”Pelosi warned.

Because of this, our country’s independence and the security of our families are at stake. ” For this, everyone has to be involved. I have always said that we do not resent elections; Instead, we organize and go out into the community to let people know that voting has results. “

Earlier this month, Politico released a draft majority opinion indicating that the court was ready to overturn Rowe v. Wade. The draft judgment states that Rowe was “grossly erroneous from the beginning,” and that “the right to abortion is not deeply rooted in national history.”

In a subsequent judgment, the Supreme Court confirmed the authenticity of the document but noted that it did not reflect the court’s final decision.

Later, the House of Representatives passed a report calling for Rowe v. Wade to be codified at the federal level. However, Republicans and Sen. Joe Manchin blocked the law in the Senate (DW.Va.).

According to the report, anti-abortion activists have staged protests across the country, warning that reversing the nearly 50-year-old precedent could reduce other rights.

Pelosi added to Sunday’s draft decision the appointment of three conservative judges to former President Trump’s bench during his four-year presidency.

Who predicted that an animal like Donald Trump would become the President of the United States, make a list of the judges he would elect, get the support of the right and establish an anti-independence judge in the Supreme Court? Pelosi asked.
