Putin has threatened to take action if the West supplies long-range missiles

According to the TASS news agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned the West that Russia would strike new targets if the United States began supplying long-range missiles to Ukraine.

“We will hit targets that we have not yet hit,” Putin said in an interview with Russia-1 state television.

Putin did not specify which Western countries would supply long-range missiles to Ukraine, and what Russia’s intentions would be in that regard. He argued that the “commotion” over Western arms supplies to Ukraine was an attempt to prolong the situation in Ukraine.

Ukraine is looking for MLRS like M270 and M142 HIMARS, to hit the back of Russian troops and weapons caches.

After receiving assurances from Kiev that they would not be used to hit targets inside Russia, US Vice President Joe Biden announced plans this week to provide Ukraine with an accurate HIMARS rocket system.

As a provocative factor, Russian President Vladimir Putin has rejected a US decision to supply Ukraine with a state-of-the-art missile system.

To compensate for the loss of this military equipment, we have received advanced rocket systems from the United States and other countries, “Putin added.

“It simply came to our notice then. It doesn’t change anything fundamentally. “

Putin boasts that Russian anti-aircraft gunships have fired dozens of Ukrainian weapons and are “cracking them like nuts” in part of the same interview aired Saturday.
