A case was dropped after the accused died of cancer.

Variety has reported that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has officially withdrawn the lawsuit against actor Kevin Spacey, following the death of the accused.

The complainant, a massage therapist, alleged that Space tried to kiss her and forced her to grab his genitals during a session in Malibu in October 2016. The defendant, who was never identified, went to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where he was referred to the DA’s July 2018 investigation.

The DA’s office has been reviewing the matter ever since, and has not yet ruled on whether a charge will be filed at the time of the defendant’s death. Defendant’s civil attorney, who sued Spacey in September 2018, told Spacey’s lawyers that the accused died last month. A source told Variety that the accused had died of cancer.

On Monday, Christina Buckley, chief adviser to the DA’s Sex Offenses Unit, formally dropped the case.

“During the investigation, the victim died,” he wrote in a rebuttal report. “Allegations of sexual harassment cannot be substantiated without the participation of victims. So the case was dismissed. ”

And many thought that Spacey was ridiculing her accusers with these horrific videos that she would post as her “House of Cards” character Frank Underwood.

Spacey was charged with four counts of sexual harassment in the UK this time.

Spacey was arraigned in federal court in Manhattan on Thursday morning for a civil lawsuit alleging that actor Anthony Rap had sexually assaulted her at just 14 years old.
