There’s been a crack in the armor, and the boy, Liz Cheney, is going crazy for it.
The Hill reported that on Monday, June 13, the first crack appeared on the otherwise integrated wall of the House Select Committee to investigate the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Committee Chairman Benny G. Thompson (D-Miss) told reporters after the hearing that the committee was headed by former President Donald J. The rift began when neither Trump nor anyone else would make any criminal referrals to the judiciary.

Almost immediately, Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-YO.) Tweeted that the committee had “not issued a conclusion about possible criminal referrals” and would do so “at an appropriate time.” Another committee member, Rep. Elaine Luria (D-Va.) Issued her own conclusion that “if criminal activity occurs, it is our responsibility to report that activity to the DOJ.” Other members of the committee, shocked by the chairman’s remarks, declined to comment, but most chose to keep their powder dry until the committee could personally discuss it.
Meanwhile, a spokesman for the committee released a statement to CNN the following day seeking to clarify the chairman’s remarks – somehow walking side-by-side: “The committee has no authority to judge individuals, but is tasked with developing information ….” After two sentences, the spokesman said the committee would “collect all relevant information, make recommendations and, if necessary, make criminal referrals.”

It is doubtful that the chairman’s remarks about the referral were a careless slip of the tongue. There are, of course, personal and even public speculations as to whether criminal referrals are reasonable, perhaps with some guidance from above. Joe Lofgren, a Democrat on the ranking committee (in California), and Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Publicly said in March that a criminal referral would be “unproductive” because “it carries no legal weight.”
Of course, it does not carry any legal weight. None of this does, it’s just another costly, and time-consuming political stunt from Dames to calm down their Stage 5 TDS, and Americans are sick of it.
My guess is that ratings and polling have started, and Demra sees that they are making things worse with this J6 nonsense and is now looking for a way out.
But Liz, the sociopathic Karen that she is, can’t let it go.
