Brittbart reports that former Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan has claimed that more House Republicans would have indicted former President Donald Trump after the Jan. 6 Capitol riots if they had the “courage”.

Paul Ryan made the announcement while campaigning for Republican Tom Rice (R-SC), one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump after the riots.

“There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who didn’t have the courage to do it,” Ryan said. “There are a lot of people who say they are going to vote for them consciously, they will vote for the constitution, they will vote for their faith but when it becomes difficult to do that they do not do it.”

“Tom Rice is a man of conviction,” Ryan added. “Tom Rice is the kind of person you want in Congress.”

Ryan slammed Republicans for “taking revenge” on those who overtook him to join the former president.

“This is a crystal clear case where you have a hardworking, efficient, senior member of Congress who is eligible for re-election versus people who are just trying to be celebrities who may be trying to help Trump get his revenge,” Ryan said. “

“Voters don’t want that. “Voters want people to focus on their solution, not on Trump’s revenge, and to me it’s really a clear case,” he added.
